Let it Snow, so Long as the Cloches are There

I went out on a recovery mission to the veg plot to rescue the over wintered veg. It’s a first for me to try and grow through the cold months.

I have not got that much growing. So far i have garlic and radish as my main crops. There are also a few potatoes and other veg, again to test the winter weather.

The help I had previously made some cloches to protect from the frost. And this morning they were tested as they were covered in snow.

The problem with snow is the weight, so if you are like me with plastic cloches then go out and shake it off.

The weight can damage and crush whatever is underneath.
